Blair grilled over Uni fees
Tony Blair was called to account over his unfair introduction of University fees
- finally!
Blair has long uttered he wanted education and more education accessible to all.
The leader of the Liberal Democrats (Paddy Ashdown) asked Mr Blair to explain "how that commitment is consistent
with the fact that your government is now going to require English, Welsh and Northern
Irish students studying at a Scottish university to pay for their fourth year - whereas
Scottish students and students from every other European country will not".
Of course the real problem is that NO student from England, Scotland, Wales or N. Ireland
should pay a penny in direct costs for their University education as their parents
have paid taxes for 18 years to the point they could start University.
This is to education what the poll tax was to the ballot box, an unfair tax.
