Labours Scottish education minister neglected his duty?
Sam Galbraith has the power under the 1996 Scotland Act to make the
"Scottish Qualifications Authority" (the quango setup to implement Londons
will on devolved Scottish education policy) act quickly to fix the awful
mess in exam marking they (the SQA) have brought down on so many young Scottish
lives.
Instead Galbraith did nothing. The SNP have attacked Galbraiths neglect and now
we all hope he loses his position and that it is given over to someone
who will look out Scotlands interests rather than Westminsters desires.
