Cardinal Thomas Winning has said via one of his church sources "It is a typically forthright Winning perspective. Here we see (this time) the Roman Catholic church in Scotland trying its best to stop the self determination process os the Scottish people.

In 1707 it was the protestant Scottish church that sold its country out by backing the Treaty of Union Church and politics : if it guaranteed it could have dominance over the Catholic church!!!
