The Tory party, who are still a spent force in Scottish politics as they have been for a century are equating devolution and the hobbled-together Scottish parliament with freedom for the Scots.

Perhaps the feeble minded will tow that line, but Malcolm Rifkind had better realise that the centre right of the SNP needs to put self determination for the Scots on the front burner and ideas of slowly-slowly to independence in the garbage can where they belong.
