Blair said: "I believe I can take the party with me, provided people listen to what we're actually saying and don't listen to a whole load of nonsense about betraying the basic principles of the Labour Party or ditching the welfare state."

Blair only seems interested in keeping his party in line. He doesn't seem concerned that his reforms will certainly hurt those most in need.
