Labour slighted Herald newspaper?
Allegations that Labour tried to alter the Herald newspapers
editorial line last year by cancelling advertising with the paper led
Labour into a mini fit.
We all know the Scotsman paper backed Labour and devolution to the hilt
for months and cowered away in the dark over the very idea of independence -
whilst the Herald had an open debate.
Labours finance minister Jack McConnell and SNP business manager Michael
Russell had a heated debate over the issue that was stopped by
presiding officer David Steel!
