University fees must go say SNP AND Tories
The Liberals will do anything to taste power, even from the poison cup
London has offered and then stuffed down Scottish throats. The Liberals
demanded university fees be scrapped to support Labour in a weak
coalition government, now they may back out, as spineless as their
party down south.
Alex Salmond leader of the SNP said "We will ... put the issue of parties
abiding by their manifesto commitments to the test. The idea that they can put the issue of
tuition fees into the long grass is a non-starter. If they were considering that, they should not
consider it for too long. I think this coalition is still on very very shaky foundations. That is perfectly obvious. When it
comes to that issue of tuition fees there will be no hiding place in the parliament chamber."
