Fishy tale over Salmon health
Everyone has now heard that fish oils are good for us in limited quantities,
preventing heart disease is one benefit. Salmon, with its particular fatty
content was supposed to be especially good for us.
Now the ( Labour controlled) BBC is to transmit a program saying the levels
of dioxin and PCB contaminants is FAR higher in farmed Salmon than in its wild
cousin, effectively trying to kill off the industry.
Scotland has many Salmon farms fighting to survive already, it seems that Scotlands world
class universities need to step in here and perform and independent study, rather than relying
on the word of the USA EPA (environmental protection agency) who would probably like Americans
eat more Alaskan Salmon than Scottish Salmon.....
