There has long been a desire to fob of the Scots after the creation of their 'parliament' by cutting the number of Scottish MPs at Westminster AND then , simultaneously, killing of seats in the Scottish 'parliament' itself, leaving many Scots PAYING VAST TAXES and having little to no representation.

The idea was to stop an English 'backlash' against greater Scottish autonomy, but it is clear to even the blind, that this Scottish parliament was only a stop gap to try and kill off growing feelings in Scotland for full independence and NOT an honest attempt to bring democracy to the people.

This 'parliament' is firmly under Londons control anyway, it is vetoed directly, by the DTI, by various Southern English controlled Westminster committees and in only minor ways offers the Scots any control over their destiny.
