Central heating no good if you cant pay your fuel bills

The Scottish 'parliament' is to spend almost 350m over five years to install modern fuel efficient central heating in homes of many Senior citizens and low income families.

This is a good idea as old fashioned bar heaters and storage heaters don't heat homes in a Scottish winter, but what is the good if your pension is so low you cant pay your fuel bill?

Scottish Socialist Party MSP Tommy Sheridan, said : "The move is welcome but still represents a feeble attempt at tackling fuel poverty, because low-income families and many pensioners will continue to struggle to pay their fuel bills."
