Glasgow bids for Aircraft depot
Glasgow airport is trying to attract bids to build a new maintenance
Airline depot on spare ground at the airport.
Glasgow has many highly trained mechanics who lost jobs during the
British Aerospace rundown.
The airport is ONE hour closer to most of the USA routes into
Scotland and England, and would make a cheaper location that siting
at Heathrow which is an extra hours flight time away.
Of course, the London run Civil Aviation Authority has to say yes first of
all.
Another fine example of Scotlands destiny being determined from without its border!
