It was a sad night and day when the Clan Macdonald were largely slain by guests they took in from the storm in 1692.

Now the same site has been nominated for a US style burger bar and visitor centre to better tell the history.

However, the locals and current Macdonald Clan members are furious at the commercialisation of their tragedy.
