University professor wants graduates taxed more
Professor King of Dundee university said
"...Nevertheless, we must
recognise that as well as society benefiting from a
well-educated workforce, so too does the graduate.
The repayment of an element of the tuition fee - along
with any loan - when the earnings of the graduate
contributor allow, is a viable alternative. This would
overcome the politically sensitive issue of fees/no fees
and would, if only modestly, protect the financial
position of universities."
He fails to realise that the graduate will pay more TAX anyway, if he or
she secures a better paid job, why should he support the governments
attitude in London to double-dip and OVERTAX the very people Scotland needs
to secure its place in 21st century technological and engineering innovation?
