Robin Cook pushed Euro on Blairs behalf
Tony doesn't want to get his lily-white hands dirty with the Euro. He doesn't want to commit himself
to the currency and has, apparently, instructed the luckless Robin Cook to
raise the Euro standard for the government. At least Thatcher has the spine to
stand up and say, as head of 'the government' "NO" - to the Euro. Tony
isn't made of the same stuff apparently.
Robin Cook said
"Today I assure you that if the euro proves a
stable, successful currency, Tony Blair’s government will make sure that Britain is ready to take
part, subject to the British people in a referendum."
Go Robin.....
