Many absentee landlords own Scottish land and enforce their own feudalistic rights on the locals, as they have for hundreds of years.

This may all end when the new Scottish parliament grants cash to locals who want to buy their rented land and be free from their overlords.

Some of these unscrupulous landlords have already said they'll go to Europe to fight this, but given Scotland is ALSO bound by the European convention on human rights now, they'll have nothing but thin ice to stand on!
