Friends of the Earth report that dioxin emissions from an old LABOUR council run incinerator were 550 times above the accepted safe European limit. Dioxin is know to cause many cancers and now people up to 2 miles away from the now decomissioned plant have dioxins and heavy metals in their soil and more than likely in their body tissue.

Dundee council claimed the FOE report was scare mongering, but they did NOT deny the safety limits of their incinerator were 550 times outside accepted limits.
