Jack McConnell, the man blessed by Tony Blair to lead the Scottish 'parliament' after the embarasing demise of Henry McLeish, has sacked 2/3 of McLeishs henchman, only a breath after saying he'd have no night of the Long knives.

It would be ironic, if McConnells apparently pro-London, pro-Scottish-English union, was a front and he turns out to be a Jacobite closet man for independence.

I'd die laughing or at least toast the man with a decent malt.
