New Scots parliament Labour adds delays
The site of the new parliament is not decided. Admittedly the size of the new body
would probably exclude the REAL parliament building used up until the forced and bribed
"Act of Union" in 1707, however, Labour and London seems set on keeping Scots out of
historically sensitive locations.
One wonders why? Are they afraid the Scots would just succeed with old passions
lit by memories of the inequity from London?
Whatever the reason, Donald Dewar the Scottish secretary hinted that no permanent home
could be guaranteed in time for the first sitting of the new parliament.
Maybe some large Scottish institutions could lend some political muscle and
cash rather than just using Scotland in their business name and force the issue with Labour MP's and
Mr Blair .....of course that requires spine.
