Scottish art, craft, music and culture left underfunded
A cash freeze on spending in the arts in Scotland has been announced , with almost all areas receiving either no cash increases, or very small ones, for next year.
The Scottish Arts Council announced this yesterday, and said it had produced a largely "standstill" budget for areas such as dance, music, crafts, and project funding because the Scottish Executive did not increase its level of funding.
And why should the Scottish executive help Scottish identity? They want us to be British,
NOT Scottish. The executive , full of Labour members who owe allegiance to Blair, London and the so called United Kingdom, are happily stabbing their culture in the back.
