American polluters continue to spew garbage into the air
In 1997 the USA, Russia and Japan ALL agreed to cut CO2 emissions as they
attended the Kyoto summit. They have done nothing to abide by the agreement.
The USA did say it would plant more forest to absorb gases, but to what extent
they would not say.
So, whilst the EU is working hard on emission cuts and whilst the "UK" pays
73% fuel tax, the USA continues to pollute unabated. Time for EU sanctions against
the USA I think.
Allies and friends, and special relationships does NOT give the USA the right to flout international
agreements they were party to. By taking a hard line pollute-as-you-go stance the US is setting a
bad example to the rest of the world.
