Scottish nuclear reprocessing unsafe
The Dounreay nuclear reprocessing plant in the far north of Scotland
(as far from London as London could build a reactor/reprocessing plant)
has been partially shutdown after a major flaw was discovered in its
power system.
This means the weapons grade uranium that was imported from Georgia (old
USSR state) can not be rendered 'safe' at this moment in time.
It looks as though Blair really needs to put the environment before
profit, but after all, any leakage would affect Scotland and the Scandanavian
countries, unless there was a strong Northerly wind at the time....
