Labour wants nursery (preschool) BUT WONT PAY UP

The Scottish education minister Brian Wilson made local authorities in Scotland responsible for ensuring that there are places for all four-year-olds in their region (nursery/pre-school) by next winter.

However, the councils will receive little to no extra help in funding these places and voluntary and private help is to be sought by the councils.

This stinks as badly as the Tory voucher scheme to try and help young children develop in a good nursery environment and it sounds just like Labours broken pledge over local authority workers pay.

Yes, you can have a raise, but no Labour won't help the councils match the funds in their budget. Sound Tory to you?
