The Scottish parliament drafted a new law to govern how people in arrears on mortgage payments could be served notice they were in default before any reposession could happen. The law 'unfortunately' only allowed for a postal delivery and SIGNATURE on the notice by the person to receive the documents. So, if you don't answer the door and don't sign you can't be evicted.
