Labour being less than open about parliament site
The site for the new Scottish parliament building in Edinburgh is now a matter
of hot debate. Sites proposed include a new modern building around the
Leith Docks (Forth Authority), the Calton Hill site or another city centre location within Edinburgh.
However, many people would like to see the historic site chosen for its
place in Scottish history.
What is annoying and even a little disturbing is that Labour and the
London controlled Scottish Office continue to use the 'government ministers and civil servants' approach in decision making, this is hardly open government.
