US aerospace moves to Prestwick (Glasgow)
Aerospace development efforts have made their first step forward at Prestwick after the area was selected by (US firm) Wiidward Governor for a new £3 million European
repair and overhaul centre.
The Illinois-based company is moving its operation from Reading (Berkshire England) to Prestwick , from next month.
Phil Turner, the VP of Woodward's Aircraft Controls Group, said: "The Prestwick area offers easy international access, a talented aerospace work force and a growing aviation community. We believe this move will result in significant benefits to our customers, ensuring excellent service, the quickest repair turn times in the industry and flexible, competitive pricing."
