A knowledge based economy needs three things to be successful.
Healthy startup venture capital cash to fund ideas
A well educated workforce that is not afraid to take chances
ABSOLUTE contreol over ALL aspects of INternet services, data security and encryption.
SCOTLAND HAS NONE OF THESE ANYMORE
Inward investment is controlled by the DTI (in London)
Schools and Universities are NOT helping Scottish children
Data encryption is a power reserved to LONDON see section C10
So, Henry McLeish' comments about a brave new Scotland as a key UK partner
in a knowledge based economy is bull manure.....
