Just when you thought Blair had kept his word and done a good deed as he promised by scrapping the unelected life peers from the house of Lords - here's the rub...

Blair wants to APPOINT replacements and NOT have them elected - thus giving himself control over ALL stages of all parliamentary bills and denying the Scottish and English public the right to CHOOSE who should best buffer them from the all to frequent excesses of Westminster!

Blair is a despot-in-waiting in a rather shabby wooly suit.....

He reasons we cant be bothered to vote for a democratic house of Lords as our wrists have grown weary having had to work so hard at the European and devolved elections...
