Scots access to countryside now looks a forlorn hope
A bill to provide free access to all of Scotlands countryside was approved
earlier this year. Now the millionaire owner of Skibo estate (where Madonna ws married) says that intrusion into the privacy of 'his' grounds would cost the
local economy money.
Now the Scottish executive is back-stepping saying it will amend the bill
and introduce more restrictions.
Here we see the London controlled Scottish parliament towing Londons
line for the continuing benefit of the rich.
Ministers confirmed this week that we will be bringing forward a revised land reform bill in the autumn - including the introduction of a right of responsible access, not a right to roam.
"The issues of night-time access and access for commercial purposes were raised during consultation and the responses have been considered."
