Seizure of household goods to pay debts will be banned - we hope
For almost a century it has been legal in Scotland for debt collectors
to pound in someones door, with police standing by, remove almost everything
the poor inhabitant posses and sell it at rock bottom prices to help
pay off that persons debt.
This piece of barbarism has gone on long enough and now looks likely to
die a natural death. Sufficient labour MSPs have said they'll support the
SNP and most Liberals in Edinburgh to get this medieval piece of
chicanery made illegal.
