Labour says it will put PCs in all schools
With the visit of Bill Gates to Downing street one would have thought
God had arrived. Fortunately the writer of this comment isn't religious.
Tony Blair, the Labour party leader, promised to get all schools wired to the
internet within a couple of years.
This is laudable, however, Labour like Tory, is failing to invest
in high technology in terms of venture capital.
They seem to see it as , perhaps, dirty?
Scotland is still losing much of its high tech talent to the USA where
innovation and financial risk taking on new ideas in technology are par for the
course.
And of course Microsoft is well known for innovation (really?)
