John Swinney leader of the SNP has said he would not tolerate racism directed against the English.

That's fair. However, the Southern English metality is not a race issue. Its the well recognised mindset that Labour, the SNP and Liberals in their time have pointed out as being uncaring and often anti-Scottish.
