New Scottish school curriculum flawed
Labours promised to raise educational
standards in both England and Scotland, and yet Labour has persisted
in tinkering with Scotlands educational system.
The Scottish 'Higher' is to be replaced with the spin doctor named 'Higher Still' exam.
The new course materials and quality of the contents have been questioned
by the EIS (Scotlands biggest teaching union).
Having talked with some teaching friends it seems the material has that
'vocational lilt' much beloved of businessmen, but it lacks sound academic
qualities that have led to the large number of talented Scottish graduates
these last 50 years.
It's another short sighted spindoctoring ride brought to you by
New Labour.
