Scots ship building a sunken dream
Scotland used to build most of the worlds ships. These days have long since gone, but
the skill sets that generations of families developed were consigned to the waste basket
by Thatcher in the 80s and by Blair in 90's and now in the new millennium.
British Aerospace will axe 1000 jobs from its Clyde shipyard even though 6 new Naval vessels
are to be part built there.
Its a matter off political expediency. Blair doesn't want to be the politician who
killed Scots ship building stone dead: INSTEAD leave a token presence and you can then
lie about how much you've done for Scotland, and dumb Scots labour voters will
believe it too.
