Smack in the teeth for Scottish dentists
The Scottish parliament should give 4.2 million pounds to insure there are
free dental checkups and care to prevent the avalanche of dental related
diseases afflicting the Scots population.
Diet may be part of the story, but low service or high cost private service
has scared most Scots away from dental care and this must now change.
Alastair MacLean, the Scottish secretary of the British dental association said: " The appalling state of oral health in Scotland is
unacceptable. The Scottish parliament must address the issues set out by the BDA in its manifesto as a matter
of urgency."
