London threatens Scottish parliament OPENLY
London is planning to make changes in the number of members of the Scottish
parliament (MSPs) and to alter local boundaries to return MORE LABOUR
and hence PRO-LONDON anti-independence MSPs.
Winnie Ewing, the SNP party president, accused jealous Westminster MPs of threatening to "cut the parliament down to size" by cutting the number of MSPs from 129 to an unworkable level. She told conference: "Let's send Blair the message, hands off our parliament."
She said "The Scottish Parliament is distinguished and innovative and has dared to legislate ahead of England," she said. "Yet from London we hear crude threats that if the parliament persists in debating reserved matters, it will be cut down to size."
THESE so called RESERVED MATTERS ARE WHAT MAKES THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT WEAKER THAN A
US STATE OR EVEN CITY LEGISLATURE......
