Tories correct - this once scrap the Scottish Secretary
Former Tory cabinet minister Sir Michael Forsyth,
has called for the scrapping of the historic post of
secretary of state for Scotland.
Forsyth said the role mapped out for the Scottish
secretary after devolution, as a link between the Holyrood
and Westminster parliaments, was "a complete nonsense".
He went on to say "The parliament is there and it is a
reality. If it is to work it must be able to speak directly
through its first minister to the prime minister, not through
some intermediary."
Hell, when I find I agree with a Tory rather than Labour party, something must
be VERY wrong with Nu-Labour
