Scots Marine engineers snubbed again
After the Tories shut the state of the art submarine refit shipyard at Rosyth in Scotland
in favour of the poorer (but Tory voting) Devonport dockyard in the South of England,
Labour continues the theme.
The VSEL dockyard in England undercut the bid on repair work to ensure the
contract would not go to Govan on the Clyde in Scotland, but then VSEL admitted
it couldn't handle the workload by having to subcontract BACK to Govan.
This is how labour intends to run the defence of Scotland and ensure a level playing
field, they must be using the same spirit level as Mrs. Thatcher!
