Radioactive waste coming to a rubbish tip near you

Many university departments, hospitals and research facilities use radioactive materials in their day to day work. Some obey guidelines and tip waste down the drain and others send it for 'safe' disposal.

Although its low level radiation, it is still dangerous to the environment and the idea of burying in in landfill sites to save money is crazy.

The law should be changed to require ALL nuclear materials to be disposed of correctly, if this increases costs a little its a small price to pay for a safer environment for us all.
