65% of the people in Scotland and England want to see Cannabis legalised, and the government is likely to make possesion (not supply) of the drug a far less serious offence than it is just now. The drug may be downgraded from a class B to class C.

Many police forces are sick fed up prosecuting people for smoking cannabis as so many people do it at parties and in their own homes. It costs vasts amounts of police time and generally results in small fines only.
