Labours wants to limit the spending of ALL political parties to 1.5 million pounds at the Scottish election. This is a marvellous idea as it will stop party favours going to big commercial and financial sponsors as we saw with the Malaysian affair and Thatchers government.

However: the SNP were all but excluded from TV and radio time at the last election. The Tories, who have NO powerbase in Scotland received as much as 7 times the airtime as did the SNP who obtained in excess of 27% of the vote.

There is no point capping funding if there is NO level playing field to get your parties message across.
