London seeks farming veto over Scotland

After Blair promised open government and gave his word the Scots would have a
greater say in their own countries affairs, he has now sanctioned the
civil servants in whitehall with a veto over any fishing and farming
policies the Scots parliament would want to introduce.

  Another Labour Lie
The Scottish National Party leaked the secret Scottish Office document which proposes to give London the right to veto policies adopted in farming and fishing by the incoming Scottish government.
The document, written by Philip Rycroft, a senior Scottish Office official, also
reveals some strain between St Andrews House (Scottish office
civil servants) and Whitehall(Westminster civil servants).
