Dennis Canavan, a Labour candidate who was rejected has said through his agent " We feel certain members of the [selection] committee had their own agenda, separate from selecting the best possible candidates to win seats for Labour in the coming Scottish parliamentary elections. "

Almost right: its is Blairs agenda, an agenda to shut the mouths of those Scots now clamouring for independence by controlling the parliament even before it sits.
