About 200 lecturers and technicians at Glasgow University are to lose their jobs as senior managers seek to plug a £6m funding gap created as London cuts Scottish higher education funding.

Scotland's biggest higher education institution is hoping to achieve the cuts through voluntary redundancies among academic, academic-related, and technical staff by the end of May.
